North American Orders
Deltec Shunts will ship via UPS or requested carrier. When required, Deltec Shunts will provide a NAFTA certificate of origin at no charge.
About the NAFTA Certificate of Origin:
The NAFTA Certificate of Origin is used by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, including Puerto Rico, to determine if goods imported into their countries receive reduced or eliminated duty as specified by the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).
The NAFTA Certificate of Origin will be attached to an Invoice if the shipment is valued at greater than:
* $1,000 USD and is being sent to a Mexican destination from Canada or the U.S.
* $1,600 (CDN) and is being sent to a Canadian destination from Mexico or the U.S.
* $2,500 USD and is being sent to a U.S. destination from Canada or Mexico.
Shipments valued at less than the above amounts do not require a NAFTA Certificate of Origin. Instead, Deltec Shunts will type the following statement on the shipment’s invoice:
“I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE GOODS COVERED BY THIS SHIPMENT QUALIFY AS ORIGINATING GOODS FOR PURPOSES OF PREFERENTIAL TARIFF TREATMENT UNDER NAFTA. MADE IN THE USA”
Please feel free to contact Deltec Shunts with any questions.

ECCN / EAR99
EAR99 is a classification for an item. It indicates that a particular item is subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), but not listed with a specific Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) on the Commerce Control List (CCL). While the classification describes the item, the authorization for shipment of that item may change, depending on the transaction. NLR is the designator of a transaction that stands for the “No License Required” authorization. NLR may be used for either EAR99 items, or items on the CCL that do not require a license for the destination in question, provided no General Prohibitions apply. (Part 736 of the EAR)
Deltec Current Shunts are EAR99 items.
